Create a beautiful coordinating set of three decorative wooden risers — small, medium, and large!
In this workshop, we’ll transform simple wooden risers into little works of art using paint, decoupage, layering, distressing, and decorative design elements. Each riser will feature its own artwork while coordinating with the others to create a gorgeous collected set.
You’ll learn how to blend your decoupage into the surrounding painted surface so the artwork feels like it belongs on the piece rather than simply sitting on top of it. We’ll also play with borders, pattern, aging, color, and other finishing details to give each riser plenty of personality and that wonderfully imperfect, timeworn look we love.
